Norma (Jean) Butler, 92, of Decatur, IL passed away at McKinley Court in Decatur, IL on Saturday, August 19, 2017.

Funeral Services will be on Wednesday, August 23 at 11:00am at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home in Decatur, IL with a visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at Glenwood Cemetery, Shelbyville, IL.

Memorials: Oak Grove Church of the Nazarene.

Jean was born October 8, 1924 in Shelbyville, IL. to Harold and Lelah (Little) Huber. She married Leonard Otis Butler on October 1, 1944 in Shelbyville, IL.

Jean was a member of Oak Grove Church of the Nazarene, where she served on the church board and was the church treasurer for many years. Jean worked at Sta-Rite in Shelbyville. After moving to Decatur Jean worked at GE, and Gorham and Son.

Jean loved to sew, cross-stitch and cook for special holidays. Jean will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Surviving are daughter Janet Feller and husband Larry of Decatur; brothers, Elgin (Wilda) Huber of Peoria, and Maurice (JoAnn) Huber of Findlay. Grandchildren, Pamela (Doug) Mendenhall of Blue Mound, Bryan (Tonya) Feller of Decatur, Brandon (Jessica) Feller of Delaware, OH, Alicia (Jeff) Shapiro of San Diego, CA, Amanda (Shane) Rhoades of IL, Bethany (Ryan) Edgecombe of Lincoln, IL. Great-grandchildren, Mikayla Mendenhall, Julianna Mendenhall, Austin Mendenhall, Savannah Mendenhall, Ethan Mendenhall, Ashton Feller, Benjamin Feller, Elijah Feller, Adilyn Feller, Katelyn Rhoades, Max Rhoades, Zane, Seth, and Lonnie Edgecombe, step-great grand-daughter Lauren Nicholls and several nieces and nephews.

Jean was preceded in death by her parents, husband Otis, son Lyle and two great-grandchildren, Gabriella Mendenhall and Benjamin Edgecombe.

Thanks to the staff at McKinley Court for caring for Jean during this difficult time in her life.
