Sandra Joy Kemp, of Wellington, Kansas, died Saturday, August 19, 2017 at her home in Wellington, Kansas at the age of 61.

Sandra was born the daughter of John Floyd McKee and Phyllis (Garlow) Sharpsteen on Sunday, May 13, 1956 in Anthony, Kansas. Her parents precede her in death.

On January 17, 1997, Sandra and Steve Kemp were united in marriage in Wellington, Kansas. They celebrated 20 years of marriage earlier this year.

Sandra was employed in the Human Resources Department of Triumph Services for many years.

Survivors include her husband, Steve Kemp; daughter, Brande Green and her husband James; son, Jacob Wilcox and his wife Crystal all of Wellington, Kansas; son, Cody Kemp and his wife Kasey of Mead, Oklahoma; daughter, Kara Jiles and her husband Jon of Bedford, New York; sister, Cindy Zoglmann and her husband John of Wellington, Kansas; sister, Sonja Sandell and her husband Jeff of Wellington, Kansas; grandchildren: Elliot Beggs of Aurora, Colorado, Mollie Beggs and Spencer Kirk of Wellington, Kansas, Jackson Beggs of Wellington, Kansas, Jacqueline Green and Michael Green both of Raleigh, North Carolina, Atticus Jiles of Bedford, New York, Gavin Kemp and Mikaela Stonebarger of Durant, Oklahoma, Sagen Kemp of Mead, Oklahoma; great-granddaughter, Isabella Kemp of Durant, Oklahoma with one great-granddaughter on the way, Harper Kirk; her faithful companion and Yorkie, DINKY.

Visitation was held at the funeral home from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday, August 21, 2017 with the family present from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Funeral services for Sandra were held 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, August 22, 2017 at the First United Methodist Church, Wellington, Kansas.

Graveside services followed at 1:00 p.m in the Blackwell Cemetery, Blackwell, Oklahoma.

Memorial Funds have been established in her loving memory to the Sumner Regional Medical Center Endowment Foundation (Memo: Cancer Center) or the Wellington Humane Society.
