Services will be 11 a.m. Monday, August 28, 2017 at the Messiah Lutheran Church. Reverend Bill Schroeder will officiate.
To honor Eva’s wishes cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation. All Faiths Funeral Home is entrusted with handling the arrangements.
Mrs. Reher was born March 21, 1924 at Oak, Nebraska the daughter of Otis and Verda (Sherwood) Bates.
Survivors include her husband of 74 years, Doniel; their children, Patty (Eldon) Hardekopf of Denison, Iowa, Wanda (Kirk) Yoachim of Alexandria, NE and Martha “Marty” (Butch) Gordon of rural Grand Island; son-in-law, Richard Glover of Grand Island ten grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Donna Glover, infant son, Joseph; brothers, Vincent, Bob, Donald and Virgil and sisters, Hazel and Fay and granddaughter-in-law, Jamie Glover.
At the age of 2 her family moved to Grand Island. On August 8, 1943 she was united in marriage to Doniel Rudolph Bernhardt Reher. They farmed north of Grand Island. Eva worked on the farm, worked for Supersweet Feeds and for Tupperware.
She is a member of Messiah Lutheran Church; the Ladies Circle; Platt Duetsche Ladies Society; Hall County Extension Club-Lakeview and was a 4H Leader in Hall County for over 10 years.
Some of her enjoyments included sewing, crocheting, baking, playing cards, bingo and loved dancing with her husband.
