Ricky Edward Rogers, 62, passed away peacefully surrounded by family at Norton's Women and Children Hospital, under the care of Hosparus.
Ricky was born to Irene Hahn Rogers and Vernon Rogers June 25, 1955, in Pewee Valley, Kentucky.
Ricky enjoyed many things in life. Fishing, bowling, watching hummingbirds, and playing poker were some of his favorite past times. He also loved spending time in Daytona Beach. Above all else, Ricky loved his family.
He is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, John Kenneth and Russell Eugene Rogers and a special cousin, Roy Rogers.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Sheree Lynn Baker Rogers, his three children, Crystal (Mark) Dries, Michael, Kasie, and his two grandchildren, Ashleigh and Abigail. He is also survived by his siblings, Liz (Harold) Nalley, David Rogers, Mardy (Charlie) Sidebottom, Linda (Albert) Nalley and numerous in-laws and nieces and nephews.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to the nurses at Norton's for their compassion and supportive care.
Funeral service will be 2 pm Tuesday at Pearson's, 149 Breckenridge Lane. Visitation will be 3-7 pm Monday and noon Tuesday until the time of service.
