Sandy is survived by her two sons; David Bradley and Steven Booth Schmidt, his wife, ‘Daughter’ in law Kelly Nicholson Schmidt, and her only and beloved granddaughter Abigail Claire Schmidt.
She also leaves her sister; Janice Booth Landry, and her husband; J. B. Landry of Monroe, LA, and Steve and Kay Schmidt of Baton Rouge, LA as well as a host of nieces, nephews and her beloved life-long friend, Bobbi Wykoff of Loveland, CO.
Being a selfless giver, Sandy can be best described with Philippians 2:3-4 “Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of others.” Sandy was called to share those gifts with the life work she devoted to St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, first as a worshiper, but also in the Altar Guild, choir and absolutely anywhere else she was called to serve.
A celebration of Sandy’s life will be held at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church on Monday, August 21st at 12 p.m.
Sandy’s greatest joy was sharing her faith with her family, especially her granddaughter, Abigail, who continues that legacy at St. Paul’s. In lieu of flowers we ask that donations be made in Sandy’s memory to the St. Paul’s Youth Lodge or any local animal charity.
