OBITUARY-
Austin -- Fern I. Gulbrandson, 81, 702 Seventh Avenue S.W., Austin, died Friday (Aug. 11, 1995) at her home.
Fern I. Hillestad was born Nov. 3, 1913, in Volga S.D. She attended area schools and South Dakota State University. She worked as an accountant prior to her marriage. She married George M. Gulbrandson on Aug. 31, 1940, at St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minn. She was a member of Our Saviors Lutheran Church.
Survivors include her husband, George Gulbrandson; one daughter, Gail Solberg of Grand Forks, N.D.; two grandsons; and one sister, Cora Sinjem, of Brookings, S.D.
Memorial Service will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Our Saviors Lutheran Church with the Rev. Don Deines officiating. Private interment will be at Oakwood Cemetery. The Classen-Jordan Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
