Howard Eugene Allynn was born Feb 6 1872 in Cleveland Ohio. In 1887 he came with his parents to Ventura which has since been his home. The family last September moved to Santa Paula but Howard remained in his position of clerk in a store. Not feeling at all well he was urged by his anxious friends to take a rest from work.
At last he relunctantly consented to do so and wen home to Santa Paula. Within three weeks from that time on Friday at 8:38am November 24th he passed away. His parents, sisters and bosom friend, Roy Sheldon, were by his side during these last days of his sickness. The funeral sermon which we gave below testifies to the Christian Character of Howard and the large attendance of his many friends. The funeral service took place Sunday Nov 26 in the Congregational Church of Ventura.
