Providence - Nora Beth Kohler Hansen, our loving mom, grandma, sister, aunt, and friend left this earthly world on May 19, 2014. She will be missed by everyone she leaves behind but what a rejoicing of happiness there will be with her husband, Joe; parents, siblings, and little "Angel" Haddie.
Nora was born February 11, 1923 in Providence, Utah to Fred and Bertha Kohler - the sixth of 12 children. She married Joseph A. Hansen October 18, 1943 in Logan, Utah. They had three sons: Jim, Scott, and Fred.
Nora grew up and attended school in Providence, graduated from South Cache High School, and made Providence her lifetime home. Nora worked at F.W. Woolworth in Logan. After her children were grown she went back to work at J.C. Penny Co. for 19 years. She served in the Jr. Sunday School Presidency and in the Cub Scout Program. She enjoyed working in her yard and took great "pride" in it. She loved raising many beautiful flowers. Mom was awesome at "91" in doing the daily tasks of cleaning her house, cooking, and laundry. She was a great cook and her many baked goodies can be topped by none. She was a hard worker and a "great example" to her kids and grandkids.
She was preceded in death by her husband, daughter-in-law, granddaughter, great-granddaughter, brothers: Dean, Kay, Grant, Datus, Rex, and sisters: Lavona, Elda, and Regina. Nora is survived by sons, Jim, Scott (Gwen), and Fred; brothers Budd and Bob; sister, Donnette; 13 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren with another one on the way and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be at the Providence City Cemetery on Thursday, May 22, 2014 at 2 p.m.
