Mrs. Paul E. Goodwin (Ruth Reynolds Goodwin) passed from this life in the morning of August 14, 2017. A thirty-five year resident of New Braunfels, TX, she leaves behind her son, William M. Goodwin, daughter-in-law, Janet S. Goodwin, and a host of treasured friends and neighbors.

Mrs. Goodwin was born on December 30, 1920 as Willie Ruth Reynolds to William Franklin Reynolds and Ruby Stone Reynolds in Pittsburg, TX. She spent her early youth in San Augustine, TX. On August 23, 1947, she married the love of her life, Paul E. Goodwin, at home in San Augustine. She and Paul embarked on a nomadic life together, following Paul's work as a field geophysicist. Her son, Bill, was born in Havre, Montana during one of those many field trips. After 35 years of hard work, Paul and Ruth retired to New Braunfels, TX and enjoyed 15 more blessed years together until Paul's death in 1996.

A funeral service was held at Zoeller Funeral Home in New Braunfels, TX on August 18, 2017.followed by interment.
