Agnes married 1) Matthew James Bennett (birth/death unknown) in 1891 Northam, W.A.
At some point, Matthew and Agnes parted ways and by at least 1901 Agnes was partnered with Thomas Farrell. All but one of the ensuing children born to Agnes had their births registered in both the surname of Bennett and Farrell (refer Pioneers' Index). This suggests that Agnes was unable to legally marry Tom due to unknown whereabouts of her former husband. Agnes assumed the surname Farrell.
