Ms. Vickie Lynn Bowen of Canton, GA passed away Friday January 8th 2016 at her residence.

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday January 12th 2016 in the chapel of Macedonia Memorial Park Funeral Home at 2:00pm. Interment to follow the service at Macedonia Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday evening from 5:00 pm-8:00 pm.

Ms. Bowen was born October 24th 1958 in Duluth, GA to the late Tyre Milton Hitt and Annette Long Hitt. She is preceded in death by her husband Jack Bowen.

She was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church in Canton. After graduating in 1980 from Georgia Baptist School of Nursing, she began a lifelong career as a nurse, specializing in elderly care. Vickie was loved and admired by her family and friends and will always be remember as a loving soul and caring person.

Ms. Bowen is survived by her sister Shiela Hitt White of Dahlonega, GA and brother and sister-in-law Timothy and Melia Hitt of Canton, GA along with numerous extended family members.
