Aug 17--Ms. Shannon Stephens, age 53, of Oak Park died Sunday morning, August 13, 2017, at her residence after an extended illness. Shannon was a native of Waycross, living in Oak Park for the past 20 years. She was a waitress and Baptist by faith.
Shannon is preceded in death by her mother, Gaynell McCumbers, and her sister, Sheila Garrett, both in 2016.
Shannon is survived by her father, Gene McCumbers of Oak Park; her brother, William Turner of Hilliard, Florida; and her two sisters, Kristina Velte of Lake Park, and Stephanie Taylor of Lafayette.
Graveside funeral services for Shannon Stephens will be held Saturday, August 19th, at 11:00 am at Oak Park Cemetery. with Chaplain Robert Barber officiating. Interment will follow. Stewart-Rosier Funeral Service Lyons Chapel is in charge of funeral arrangements.
