Mrs. Fowler attended Hilleman schools and married Mr. Lloyd Fowler on May 9, 1948. She was a member of Whitehall Methodist Church. She was employed as an operator for Automotive Rubber for many years while she was living in Michigan and Van Heusen Shirt Factory while living here in Arkansas. Her enjoyment was playing Bingo and Bunco. One of her many sayings were “I don’t care if I win or not I just want to play. She also enjoyed putting puzzles together and was very good at crafts, sewing and quilting where she made many quilts for her family. Another one of her enjoyments was gathering cattails and placing them in the barn, but she loved watching her soap operas so her husband, Lloyd set her a television up in the barn so that she wouldn’t miss them. Mrs. Fowler loved her family and always bragged on her kids and grandkids. Another one of her many favorite sayings was, “I got the best six kids in the world”.
Mrs. Fowler is preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Virgie Fraze, two brothers, James Curtis Fraze and Robert Fraze.
Mrs. Fowler is survived by her husband of 69 years, Lloyd Fowler of McCrory, Arkansas, two sons, James Von Fowler and wife Peggy of Lowell, Indiana, Douglas LaDale Fowler and wife April of Lowell, Indiana, four daughters, Linda Goins and husband Ron of Clinton, Arkansas, Diana Baird and husband Gordon (Gene) of Gary, Indiana, Sherry Schafer and husband Randy of Clinton, Arkansas, Caroll LaDonna Bottomlee and husband Troy of Lowell, Indiana, one brother, John L. Fraze and wife Nancy of Kalamazoo, Michigan, one sister, Carolyn Shoudy of Gilbertsville, Kentucky, nineteen grandchildren, thirty great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
Visitation will be on Saturday, August 19th beginning at 1:00 p.m. with funeral services following at 2:00 p.m at the Thompson-Wilson McCrory Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be in Woodman Cemetery.
