On Tuesday, August 15, 2017, Howard W. Morrison, Jr., passed away at 93. Born in the Lauraville section of Baltimore City, he attended the Baltimore Poly Institute, graduating in 1941, later working for Bendix Environmental. Mr. Morrison was a veteran of the United States Army, serving during WWII from 1943 – 1946. He served in the Mid Pacific Base Command as a surgical technician with the 219th General Hospital. After the war, he returned to Bendix and retired after 30 years as a Quality Assurance Engineer. Mr. Morrison was a member of the Parkville American Legion, Post 183 and the Parkville VFW Post 9083. He was also a member of the Parkville Senior Center and worked in their woodshop. Mr. Morrison coached baseball and Softball, and enjoyed fishing and model building.
