Jan Diener Brown, 76, of Manheim, PA, passed away on Friday, July 28, 2017 at Hamilton Arms Nursing Center in Lancaster, PA. She was born in West Reading, PA, the daughter of Karl M. and H. Chaldea (Hager) Diener. Jan graduated from William Penn High School in York and had a career as a graphic designer for many years, working for a time at the PA Department of Education before starting her own graphic design business. She had many creative interests, including renovating houses, designing and planting gardens, and beading jewelry; she brought beauty and flare to everything she touched. She also loved and cared for many cats over her lifetime, and no stray ever went unfed at her home.

She is survived by her husband, George D. Brown, Jr. as well as two children from a previous marriage, Melissa A. Shaulland and her husband, Jeffrey Lotlikar of Severna Park, MD and Michael E. Shaull of Harrisburg; a stepson, George D. Brown, III and his wife Janet of Simi Valley, CA; grandchildren, Sarah and Rachel Lotlikar and step grandchildren Madison, Hayden, Mckenna and Riley Brown. Also sisters Karen D. Best of Mechanicsburg, Lynn D. Steele of Indian Springs, OH, and brother Karl M. Diener, Jr. of Grosse Ile, MI.
