Pinkney’s Point – Mr. Albert Saulnier of this village died suddenly Thursday night, the 13th of April, at the age of 66 years. The deceased had not been well for some time, but still had been out that day as usual. Son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Michel [sic] Saulnier, he leaves in mourning his wife, Madeleine Melanson,who was seriously ill at the death of her husband; five daughters, Mrs. Edwin DeViller, Mrs. Edward Surette, Mrs. Enos Saulnier and Miss Madeleine Saulnier, all of this village; and Mrs. Chester LeBlanc of Saugus, Mass., who traveled by plane to be present at the funeral; seven sons, Michel of Yarmouth; Benjamin, Delbert, Leonard, Ernest, Harvey and Roger of this village.

The funeral service was sung at Saint-Michel Church, with solemn mass celebrated by the Rev. Father Maillet, parish priest, attended by Rev. Father Doucet of Wedgeport and Rev. Father Theriault of Yarmouth. Six sons of the deceased were pallbearers.
