Elizabeth Ann Stapleton, age 72 of Alvin, WI passed away on Monday, February 6, 2017. Known as Liz to most and lovingly as Peachie to her siblings. She passed away peacefully with her family and compassionate staff at Aspirus Hospital in Wausau, WI. Liz was born September 13, 1945 to the late Beatrice (Albert) Peppin and late Henry Turcotte in Stambaugh, MI. She grew up in Iron River attending St. Agnes Catholic School and Iron River High School. On June 5, 1982, she married Bobby Stapleton and resided in Alvin, WI. Liz worked at Coleman Products, Angeli Foods, Graham's Country Mart, Iron River Care Center, Big Sand Lake Club and most recently Y-Not-Here. Liz always had a tremendous green thumb and always had plants blooming inside and out. She enjoyed quilting, knitting, feeding the birds and keeping the hummingbirds happy. As she travels to a much better place she leaves behind the following to celebrate her life: daughter Carrie (David LaBonte), and her children Maggie (Tim) and Robbie of Iron River. Sons Don (Special Daughter Cindy) and daughter Jennifer (Bear) of Alvin, WI and Chicago; Brian (Amy) Brzoznowski and family of Iron River; John (Sharrie) Stapleton of Alvin; Kurt Stapleton of Iron River and Joe (Missy) and family of Caspian. Brothers and sisters John (June), Mary (Late Ron) Woodworth and Corrinne (Late Rudy) Gaspari. Brother-in-laws Turner and Arnold (Carol) Stapleton; Sister-in-law Elsie (Late Jack) Netherly. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Meeting Liz at the gates of Heaven are her husband Bobby, Son Robin Brzoznowski, sister and brother-in-law Yvonne and Eddy Shamion, their daughter Marianne Maes; Brother-in-law Frank Ciochetto and his children Jim and Jeannie Leeman; Brother-in-laws John (Eva) Stapleton and Harley Stapleton; Sister-in-law Virgie Ingram. Special thankyou to the medical staff of Aspirus Hospital in Wausau, doctors Herdrich, Fairchild and Sweet. The kind compassionate nurses went above and beyond and the Buettgen Funeral Home of Schofield, WI. A private family service will be held at a later date.
