Robert graduated from Pittsburg High School. He served in the United States Navy during World War II, serving aboard the U.S.S. Alabama as a Fireman 2nd Class. He married Clara Reese on Dec. 27, 1953 in Hartshorne. He retired from Tinker Air Force Base after 35 years and had lived in Pittsburg County since 1992. He is survived by his wife, Clara; sons, George Willis, Matthew and wife Sandee Willis and Marcus Willis, all of Oklahoma City; a brother and his wife, Eugene and Gloria Willis of Pittsburg; sister, Frances Willis of Pittsburg; grandsons, Justin and Jeremy Autaubo, Michael and Daniel Willis, all of Oklahoma City; four granddaughters, Tiffany, Rachael, Angilena and Cassandra Willis, all of Oklahoma City. He was preceded in death by his parents.
