Norfolk - Mr. Eugene Ivison Hunter, 91, passed away on August 8, 2017.

Born in Goochland, VA, he was the son of the late Benjamin and Mamie Hunter. He retired as a Chef. Eugene was passionate about many things, he mostly held close to his heart the "Love of Family."

Left to cherish his memory: nine children, Glenn Hunter and wife, Sarah "DeDee", of Fayetteville, NC, Ivison E. Hathaway and wife, Karen, of Camp Lejuene, NC, Ivenia May and Charles of Virginia Beach, Sophia Reid of Virginia Beach, Horace Woody, Jr., and wife, Beatrice, of Norfolk, Jane Jenkins of Chesapeake, Mary Woody of Virginia Beach, Tremaine Williams of Norfolk, and Cordaro Williams of Norfolk; a brother, Donald Hunter and wife, Barbara, of New Jersey; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

On Thursday, Aug 17th Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Princess Anne Chapel will welcome viewing from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Family will welcome friends on Friday, Aug. 18th from 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM in the funeral home chapel. The funeral home a "Celebration of Life" service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, Aug 19th.
