Willie E. Horn was born in McPhee,Colorado on February 2,1930.The town of McPhee no longer exists,it was a company town,owned and operated by the New Mexico Lumber Company from 1924 through 1948.The family moved to Frost, Texas, in 1935 and to Roswell, N.M., in 1945. He had been a Portland resident since 1951.

Mr. Horn died Dec. 1 of a heart attack at age 64.
He married Agnes Marie Huggett in 1955 and they later divorced.

He worked for many years in a foundry in Tigard. After retiring, he worked part time for Portland Progress as a janitor.

Surviving are his sons, Dan, Clyde and Ralph, all of Portland, and Stanley of Olympia; daughter, Rose Suda of Clackamas; brothers, Roy L. (dec) of Rosiclaire, Ill., Doyle (dec) of McMinnville and E.L. (dec) of Gaston; sisters, Ruth Luckado (dec) of Estacada, May E. Adams (dec)of Oak Ridge, Tenn., Louise Scalzo of Snohomish, Wash., and Bobbie J. Shackelford of Kirkland, Wash.; and five grandchildren.

A memorial service was held on Dec. 9, 1994, in the Glenfair Evangelical Church. Arrangements by Bateman Carroll Funeral Chapel.
Disposition was by cremation,with interment of cremains on his mothers grave.
