Norma Ruth "Noma" Hicks, a resident of Oklahoma City was born October 25, 1934 in Garvin County, Oklahoma to Benjamin Franklin & Della Jane (Lee) Martin. She passed away Sunday August 13, 2017 at Oklahoma City, OK at the age of 82 years 9 months and 18 days.
Norma was raised in Oklahoma, Texas and New Mexico. She graduated from 8th grade at Chigley school, and graduated from High School in Roswell, New Mexico in 1952. She had worked as a payroll clerk and a caregiver.
Norma was married to Franklin "Stub" Berry. After this marriage she married Herbert Hicks who preceded her in death December 11, 2003. She moved to Yukon to be near her daughter Pam. Norma enjoyed bowling, fishing, travelling and most of all her family.
She was preceded in death by parents, siblings: Donnie Martin, Johnny Martin, James Franklin Martin, Warren Franklin Martin, Tommy Martin, & Jean Martin Welty.
Survived by her: Son & daughter-in-law: Ed Berry & Patricia of Saint Leonard, Maryland, Daughter & son-in-law: Debbie Shetter & Randy of Tuttle, OK, Daughter: Pam Dyer & Toby Buzzard of Yukon, OK, Daughter & son-in-law: Teresa Bratcher & Randy, of Tuttle, OK, Sisters: Nora Welty of Davis, OK, Jackie Martin, of Mesquite, TX, Mary Waits & Robert, of Okmulgee, OK, and Rita Martin, of Checotah, OK, 12 Grandchildren, 14 Great Grandchildren,
Services will be held Friday August 18, 2017 at 10:30AM at Sulphur First Free Will Baptist Church officiated by Rev. Dick Terry and Rev Robert Waits. Burial will be at 1:00PM at Oaklawn Cemetery under the direction of DeArman Funeral Home in Sulphur.
