Paul Gleaves Burnette Jr., age 78, of Danville, passed away on August 15, 2017, at his home. He was born on January 9, 1939, in Fries, Va., to Paul G. Burnett, Sr. and Helen Thomas Burnett. He was a building contractor and electrician and the owner of JR'S Outdoor Gear. He was of the Christian faith and loved the outdoors where he enjoyed hiking, rock climbing and kayaking. Survivors include his wife, JoAnne Megginson Burnette; sons, Paul Gleaves Burnette, III and Sean Edward Burnette; two grandsons; sister, Karla Rowe. He was also predeceased by a brother, Ronnie Burnett. Burial will be in Schoolfield Cemetery.
