Lucille is survived by her daughter, Cathy Ann (West) White and her husband, Arthur of Harrisville; sister-in-law, Barbara (West) Butters of Norfolk, MA; cousins, nieces, nephews and the many friends she made along the way. Besides her beloved husband, Paul, Lucille was preceded in death by their daughter, Carol Ann (West) Johnson; two sisters, Constance Morisseau and Janet Mix.
Lucille was a 1942 Woonsocket High School graduate, a member of the North Smithfield PTA and was proud to be a founding member of Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Church, Woonsocket. In her early life, she worked at Siegal Oldsmobile and then in the North Smithfield School System, where she was the Assistant Librarian, a job she loved and retired from in 1986.
Lucile was a kindhearted woman with a beautiful smile and will be missed by all who knew her. Cathy and Arthur wish to thank the staff at Bayberry Commons, Sunset Villa Unit, as well as the Kindred Hospice team for their kindness and compassion towards Lucille.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, August 19, 2017, at 10 AM in the Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Church, 1409 Park Avenue, Woonsocket. Burial will follow in St. James Cemetery, Old River Road, Manville, RI. Calling hours will be held Friday from 5 PM – 8 PM in the Holt Funeral Home, 510 South Main St., Woonsocket. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Lucille's memory to Bayberry Common's Memory Care Unit, 181 Davis Dr., Pascoag, RI 02859.
