Matthew Dewayne Allen, 18 of Bloomington died unexpectedly Wednesday, August 2, 2017. He was born May 24, 1999 in Bloomington to Travis D. Porter and Misty L. Allen. He was a student and had attended Bloomington High School South.

Survivors include his mother, Misty L. Allen of Bloomington; his father, Travis D. Porter of Bloomington; three sisters, Jasmin Allen, Amyah Hamilton and Nessiah Porter; grandparents, Betty Terrell, Aleana Jones, Suzanna Faulk, and Robert Allen; great grandparents, Marvin and Portia Chandler and Pearly Thomas; an uncle, Tim (Cheryl) Walker of Solsberry; and several cousins, a large extended family and many friends. He was preceded in death by three uncles, Clint T. Walker, Jeff Scott Walker and Tracy Malone.

Matthew was a member of Knight Ridge Pentecostal Church, where he was baptized on his birthday this year. He loved being outdoors, hunting, fishing, camping, animals and drawing.

There will be a gathering of family and friends on Thursday, August 10, 2017 from 4:00 – 8:00 PM in Deremiah-Frye Mortuary, Greene & Harrell Chapel, 700 W. Gourley Pike. Graveside Services will be held Friday, August 11, 2017 at 11:00 AM in Valhalla Memory Gardens.
