Obituary for Betty Harrison
October 29, 1927 - August 15, 2017

Mrs. Anne Elizabeth “Betty” Harrison passed away on August 15, 2017 at the age of 89.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 17 at 11:30 AM in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Milledgeville, GA. Burial will follow at Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Williams Funeral Home Wednesday evening from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM.

Mrs. Harrison was born to Bluma Eric Head and Jennie Mae Robinette Head in Milner, Georgia on October 29, 1927.

She graduated as valedictorian from Milner High School and in 1949 married Gene Harrison. They made Milledgeville their home in 1979 and were founding members of Lakeside Baptist Church.

Mrs. Harrison was preceded in death by her husband, her sisters, Frances Dallas and Margie Glow, and her grandson Joshua Harrison.

Mrs. Harrison is survived by her children, Randy Harrison (Diane) of Perdido Key, Florida, Phillip Harrison and Doug Harrison (Rhonda) of Vidalia, Cindy Griffeth (Hank) of Milledgeville, sister, Alma Jean McBroom of Barnesville. Nine grandchildren and seven great grandchildren also survive.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the
Building Fund of Lakeside Baptist Church in Milledgeville, GA.
