Frank Miles Keim was born Feb. 22,1878, in Union County, Ia., and passed away at the Ainsworth Hospital on Aug.18 at the age of 90 years. During his youth he lived in and around Creston, Ia.On Dec. 25, 1901, he was united in marriage to Gertrude F. Arnold. To this union were born eight children.
 
The land to be homesteaded in Nebraska lured the young couple with two of their children to Cherry Co., where he filed on a homestead in the spring of 1916. After living in Cherry Co. a few years the family moved to Brown Co. A number of these years were spent in the Mabelo Community and during these years the family attended and became members of the Highland Grove Methodist Church.
 
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Frances, in 1931 and his wife, Gertrude in 1964. He is survived byseven children and their families: Ruth Thackrey, Fern Orr, Clair, Ray and Ralph, all of Ainsworth, Dale of Provo, Utah, and Erwin of Sun Valley, Ida.,also surviving is one sister, Mrs. Claude Loy of Lemore, Ia., 14 grandchildren,nine great-grandchildren and numerous relatives and friends.
 
Funeral services were conducted Wednesday, Aug. 21 at the Congregational church in Ainsworth with Rev. Howard Dixon officiating, Mrs.Lois Coleman and Mrs. Velma Rose provided the music. Pallbearers were Sam Wallace, Ward camp, Joe Crocker and Jay Phillips. Interment was in Ainsworth Cemetery. Arrangements were by Wisda Funeral Home.
