Lynn Joseph Wright, 84, formerly of Fresno, CA, passed away Sunday, 13 Aug. 2017, surrounded by his loving family at his home in Billings.

Born to Joseph Mylo and Annie Margaret (Biorn) Wright on 9 Feb. 1933, near Modesto, California, he was raised in Ceres and Turlock, California, graduating from Turlock High School in 1950. His extra-curricular activities included playing euphonium in band. He later attended Fresno City College and Fresno State University.

He enlisted in the USAF, retiring a captain after serving his country for over 27 years.

Lynn was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Among his church callings were choir director and ward chorister. His hobbies were model trains, airplane modeling, leatherwork, and various bowling and square dancing clubs.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 53 years, Joan Dell (Pinkney) Wright and one child, Scott Alexander Wright.

He is survived by his sister, Margaret Fowles of Madera, California; his children, Mark J. Wright of Scottsdale, Arizona; Matthew L. Wright of Madera, California; Lyndell Goolsby of Mansfield, Missouri; and Lorraine Wright of Billings; 17 loving grandchildren, and 19.5 adoring great-grandchildren.
