Raymond Wixon Keller, 90, of Temple, died August 14, 2017 at Berks Heim, Bern Township.

He was the husband of Susan Rebecca (Schultz) Keller, who he married November 3, 1962.

Born October 7, 1926 in Reading, he was a son of the late Raymond and Elsie Mae (Wixon) Keller.

Ray was a 1944 graduate of Muhlenberg High School and attended Kutztown University.

He was employed as a real estate agent and was retired from Conrad and Associates for many years.

Raymond served in the U.S. Army during World War II, having served in Japan.

He was active in sports throughout his life, participating in baseball, drafted by St. Louis Cardinals, officiating PIAA soccer for 25 years, and supporting youth sports. He organized the area’s first indoor ice hockey program at the former McKellen’s Ice Skating Rink and continued to hear from his boys through the years.

Also surviving, in addition to his wife, are his two daughters: Bonnie L. (Keller), wife of Leonard J. Renner of Sinking Spring and Dianne L. (Keller) Beynon of Detroit, MI.

Other survivors include his five grandchildren: Kristen (Renner) Dvorscak, Kelly (Renner) Pearsall, Arthur Beynon, Nia (Beynon) West and Rhiannon (Beynon) Smiddy and his eight great grandchildren.

The family of Ray is grateful to the staff of Berks Heim, B-3 for the excellent care they provided.

Graveside services will be private at the convenience of the family in Alsace Cemetery.
