Terry L. Jacobs, Sr., 65, of Pawnee, died at home on Saturday, August 12, 2017. He was born January 17, 1952 in Springfield to Charles E. and Georgia Goins Jacobs.
Surviving are two sons, Terry L. (Amber) Jacobs, Jr. of O’Fallon and Michael (fiancé Tricia Thomas) Jacobs of Pawnee; five grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Michael, Jaiden, Kian and Isabella; 4 sisters; 3 brothers and several nieces, nephews, cousins and his longtime friend, Pat.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two grandchildren; one brother and one sister.
Terry enjoyed building, working on cars and in his yard gardening. He loved spending time with his family and grandchildren. He was the best dad and grandpa that anyone could ask for.
He retired from the Springfield Park District after 30 years of service. Previously he worked with his father at Springfield Disposal.
Per Terry’s wishes, private family services will be held.
