Joan M. Warren, 86, of Carlyle passed away on Monday, August 14, 2017 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Breese. Joan was born in Beckemeyer, Illinois on April 30, 1931 the daughter of Herman and Clara (Issak) Kuhl. She married William W. Warren on July 26, 1968 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Carlyle and he preceded her in death.
In addition to her husband, Joan was preceded in death by her parents; two grandsons: Christopher Warren at birth, and Travis Hanrahan; a sister Catherine Ternoir; her sister-in-law, Jackie Kuhl; and brothers-in-law, Charles Wallin and Wes Ternoir.
Joan is survived by her son Michael (Kathy) Warren of Carlyle, her two daughters: Terry (Dean) Sevold of Brentwood Bay, B.C. Canada, and Patsy (Joe) Hanrahan of St. Louis, MO; her brother Paul Kuhl of Bridgeton, MO; and her sister Jenny Wallin of Lebanon; eight grandchildren: Alyssa (Jeff) Bassler, Laura (Ryan) Hoerchler, Kimberly Beckmann, Nathan (Courtney) Sevold, Anthony Sevold, Jeff Sevold, Peter (Becky) Hanrahan, Valerie Palacek; eleven great grandchildren: Brooke, Courtney, Wyatt, Chloe, Tessa, Evan, Hailey, Mason, Cody, Rosalie, and Poppy; many nieces and nephews, relatives and friends. As well as family friend Don Horrell.
Joan was a member of St. Mary's parish in Carlyle, where she sang in the choir for many years. She was a member of the Beckemeyer Red Hat Ladies and the Beckemeyer American Legion. Joan was instrumental in the development of Governors Run Golf Course along with her husband Bill.
A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, August 18, 2017 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Carlyle with Fr. George Mauck and Msgr. David Darin officiating. Interment will follow at Carlyle Township Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 18, 2017 from 9 until 10:45 AM at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Carlyle.
Expressions of sympathy made in Joan's name are suggested to the Clinton County Humane Society or to St. Mary's Church and will be received at church or at Nordike Funeral Home in Carlyle
