A long time resident of Howard County, Maryland, he attended Howard High, lettering in three sports. After graduating in 1959, Mr. Schatz attended Catonsville Community College and later transferred to Towson University where he earned his degree in Business Management.
He worked for the Baltimore County Board of Education for 30 years. His favorite activities included visiting Ocean City, Maryland and attending antique car shows.
He was preceded in death by his father, George A. Schatz, Sr. Mr. Schatz is survived by his mother Margaret (Peggy) Schatz and brother Thomas C. Schatz both of Annapolis, MD.
