Sandra Dunn passed away May 4, 2017 surrounded by her family at Shawnee Mission Medical Center.
Sandra was born January, 2, 1960 in Little Rock, Arkansas and grew up in Clinton, Arkansas after her parents died and she was raised by her aunt. She met her husband to be in 1977, James Calvin Dunn who lived in Kansas City, Kansas. After four months of dating, the decided to get married and move back to Kansas to start their lives together. They were married for 39 years.
Sandra has two daughters, Candice M. (Dunn) Petrocy and husband Andy and Coretta R. (Dunn) Moad; seven grandchildren, Andrea N. Dunn, Robert Moad, Zachary Moad, Andrew J. Dunn, Christopher A. Hanson, Sarah E. Hanson and Justin Hanson and two great-grandchildren, Andrew J. Dunn Jr., and Kimber Thompson. She has three brothers and two half-sisters, two brother-in-laws, Larry Dunn and his wife, Vanessa and Alvin Dunn and his wife, Vickie and a sister-in-law, Linda McFadden and her husband Lynn.
Sandra was employed at Langley Optical and Backyard Burgers. She was known as “Granny” and she loved to crochet blankets, listen to country music and to talk to anyone who would listen to her.
She has gone to be with her Lord Jesus Christ. She will be missed dearly by everyone who saw her smiling face.
