Funeral services for William Anthony Bates, who died Sunday, March 15, 1931, following a brief illness in a Columbia, SC hospital, will be held on Monday afternoon, March 16, 1931, at Pacolet Mills Baptist Church at 2 o'clock. He is survived by the following brothers and sisters, H. E. Bates, J. J. Bates, F. P. Bates, Mrs. Gertrude Littlejohn Mrs. Maggie Cromer, and Mrs. Nannie Strahley, all of Spartanburg County, SC.
