Ruth Ann Hatcher, 73 of Ripley, passed away August 13, 2017 at Charleston Memorial Hospital following a long illness.

She was born January 19, 1944 at Malden, WV, a daughter of the late Robert and Mary Sneed Taylor. She was a homemaker and loving mother. She loved to play Yahtzee and Rummy.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Charles Hatcher; brothers Bobby Taylor, Earl Taylor, June Taylor and Tink Taylor and sisters Margaret Tuttle and Norma Thompson.

She is survived by her children, Charlie Hatcher of Ravenswood, Rick Hatcher of Ripley and Diana Sigmon of Danville; brothers Jimmie Taylor of Evans and Johnny Taylor of Charleston; grandchildren, Charles Edward “Trey” Hatcher III, Joseph “Drew” Mullins, Samantha Hatcher, Jacob Hatcher, Taylor Hatcher, Rikki Hatcher, Anthony Sigmon, Darrin Sigmon, Alena Holley and Amanda Hatcher and great grandchildren Jaxon Hudnall and Bryce Hudnall.

Funeral Service will be 2 pm Wednesday, August 16, 2017 at the Waybright Funeral Home, Ripley with Pastor Dee Rhodes officiating.

Burial will follow in the Goshen Cemetery, Kentuck. Friends may call on the family from Noon until 2 pm on Wednesday at the funeral home.
