Evidence about the bad state of discipline in a military camp was given in a military trial before Mr Justice Singleton at Warwick Assizes Yestarday.
Sergt Patrick Francis Lyons, aged 35, of the camp Military Police, whose home is Barrack Street, Ennis, Co Clare, was found not guilty of Murdering Pte Mark Feld, aged 20, a cook, of Holme Leigh Road, Stamford Hill, London. Found guilty of manslaghter, he was sentenced to 10 years penal servitude.
Passing sentence, the judge said " I am glad that the jury returned the verdict they did, but they found it very hard to do it.........
Brother of Simeon Feld, Uncle of Marc Bolan (T Rex). (Was Marc named in honour of a murdered brother)
