BALL, Christopher P., "Chris," 37, of Champlain, died Saturday, August 12, 2017. Chris knew no strangers. His smile was infectious and he was always the life of the party. Chris was happiest when he was on his beloved Rappahannock River spending time with his always growing circle of friends. He had a passion for a wide variety of music and never turned down an opportunity to enjoy a concert. Chris is a 1995 graduate of Aylett Country Day School and a 1999 graduate of Christchurch School. He also attended Wingate University. Chris was preceded in death by his mother, Carolyn Hammond Ball. He is survived by his father, William J. "Bill" Ball Sr. (Jean Seal); his sister, Sue Ball (Nick Brizendine) of Tappahannock; brother, William J. "Billy" Ball Jr. of Millers Tavern; nieces and nephews, Andrea Ball Carlson (Tate), Christina Ball Beamer, William Cory Ball (Sandra), Seth Parker Saunders (Jenna), Kathryn Ball Saunders, Tripp Brizendine and Levi Brizendine; six great-nieces and nephews; aunt, Helen H. "Kitty" Head; and a number of cousins. He also leaves behind his beloved Huskey Lab mix, Durley. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, August 16, 2017, in the Marks-Bristow Funeral Home, Tappahannock. The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
