Son of Cyrus Everett "Everett" and Dolly Mae (Robison) Shelby. Divorced from Ada Jones Hulet. Farmer. Served in World War II. Enlisted 13 July 1942, honorably discharged 6 March 1943. Shotgun blast into chest wall and heart -suicide. Age 56.

Survived by mother Mrs. Dolly Shelby of the home; two sisters, Mrs. W. D. Walker of St. Joseph and Mrs. Raymond Houston of Shenandoah, Iowa; and one brother, Orvie Shelby of Kansas City.

Died east of Evona in Athens Township, MO. Buried in Grandview East Cemetery on February 2, 1961.
