Lucille Florence Davis

Our precious sweet angel Lucy went to be with her savior and lord in heaven on Wednesday, April 15th. She passed away peacefully with family by her side. Lucy was born in Arkansas on January 3rd, 1934 to Fred and Ellen Lee. After the death of her mother Ellen she was raised by her Aunt Janie and her father Fred. She was one of thirteen children. Lucy will be remembered for her sweet southern sayings, her beautiful smile, and her contagious laugh.

In her youth she worked as a sharecropper picking cotton. She had 6 wonderful children whom she cherished. She was a dedicated homemaker and day care provider. Later in life she met a quiet, handsome man named Lester McGrew (#104268845). They were life partners for 24 plus years until his passing in 2011.

She loved going to church, singing, and meeting people. She was a social butterfly. She was a member of TOPS of Ukiah for many years attending with her daughter Katie weekly. Lucy enjoyed embroidery work, quilting, and flower gardening.

Lucy is survived by her daughter Diane Roberts (John D) of Arkansas, son Bill Davis (Debbie) of Ukiah, Barbara Robinson (Wayne) of Florida, Roma Biester (Brett) of Redwood Valley, Hope Williams and Katie Macias (Roberto) of Ukiah.

Eleven grandchildren: Roy Roberts, Brenda Roberts, John Roberts (Erin) of Arkansas, Alicia Clark (Jonny) and Shannon Kuznar (Brandon) of Red Bluff, Amanda Wright (Jed) of Redwood Valley, Jennifer Calvert (Jeremy), Josh Williams (Chelsea), Kristina Gracilazo (Peter), Jesse Macias (Ashlin) and Miriah Macias all of Ukiah.
18 great-grandchildren: Cheyanne Malone (Sean), John-John, Nickolas, and Billy Roberts of Arkansas, Kama Corbin (Hunter) of Kansas, Colter and Gunner Wright of Redwood Valley, Emberlynn and Isaiah Calvert, Lorena, Bricen, and Peyton Williams, Jonathan, Samantha, Mikayla Ngayan, Elijah and Isaac Gracilazo, and Mia Macias all of Ukiah. 2 great-great grandchildren: Connor Boulie and Lilith (Lily) (Malone) of Arkansas. Baby Boy Maverick Corbin of Kansas who is to arrive in June.

She is also survived by her 3 sisters from Illinois, Velma Andrews, Mary Light, and Linda Hullinger.

Private graveside services were held on Friday, April 17th at Russian River Cemetery in Ukiah with Pastor Jim Bailey officiating.

Memorial donations to Hospice of Ukiah or to a charity of your choice.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
