Jimmy Edward Buchanan, age 56, of Dayton, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, October 16, 2012, at Drake Medical Center, in Cincinnati, Ohio. He was born in Knox County, Kentucky, on December 13, 1955.
He was preceded in death by: hisfather, Lee Rose Buchanan; his wife, Judith Johnson Buchanan; a son, Phillip Buchanan; and three brothers, Bill Buchanan, Russell Buchanan and Chuck Buchanan. Survivors include: his mother, Mary Jane Miller Buchanan, of Corbin, Kentucky; five sons, Randy Johnson, of Dayton, Kentucky, Kevin Johnson, of Highland Heights, Kentucky, James McDonald, of Artemis, Kentucky, Johnny Merida, of Alexandria, Kentucky, and Gary Merida, of Alexandria, Kentucky; four daughters, Angel Honaker, of Bellevue, Kentucky, Jimmie Reed, of Glencoe, Kentucky, Kandi Kinnett, of Dayton, Kentucky, and Rosalind Buchanan, of Dayton, Kentucky; four sisters, Faye Buchanan, of Corbin, Kentucky, Betsy Tuttle, of Corbin, Kentucky, Flow McVay, of Barbourville, Kentucky, and Virginia Roberson, of Corbin, Kentucky; 22 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Saturday, October 20, at Peoples Funeral Home, in Butler, Kentucky. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, October 20, also at the funeral home. Jimmy's final resting place will be at Hillcrest Cemetery, in Grant County, Kentucky.
