Lucille was the only child of George Walter Jackson and Annie Ada Smith. She married Lawrence E. Garner in 1957. She was a graduate of Pottstown High School and Ursinus College, where she earned a BA in business economics. She worked for many years at Firestone Tire and Rubber Company and its successors Hooker Chemical and Occidental Chemical at their facility in Pottstown. She had no children of her own but was survived by a brother-in-law, two sister-in-laws and several nieces and nephews.
