Cherryville, NC - - Barbara Kennedy Gentry, 70, of 122 Woodberry Drive, passed away on Saturday, August 12, 2017 at Carolina Healthcare Systems Cleveland.
Born in Gaffney, she was the widow of the late Carl Junior Gentry and the daughter of the late Archie Kennedy and Mary Fowler Kennedy Streevy. She was a homemaker and of the Christian faith.
Surviving are three sons, Chris Gentry of Bessemer City, Carl Gentry Jr. and wife, Carla of Shelby and Jeffrey Gentry of the home; a daughter, Marsha Ann Hill Gentry of Clover; two brothers, Herbie Kennedy of Gaffney and Daniel Kennedy and wife, Emma of Blacksburg; and five grandchildren. Mrs. Gentry was preceded in death by a brother, David Kennedy; and a sister, Wanda Wyatt.
A graveside service will be held at 3:00 PM on Wednesday, August 16, 2017 at Forest Lawn of Lincolnton Cemetery with Mr. Ashby Blakely officiating. The body will be taken to the home on Monday, August 14, 2017.
The family will be at the residence.
