Vera Lee Roberts, of Fallsville, Arkansas passed away Thursday, August 10, 2017 at Newton County Nursing Home in Jasper at the age of 77.
The daughter of Howard and Dorothy (Mitchell) Roberts was born March 26, 1940 in Fair Oaks, Arkansas.
Vera was a homemaker and had lived in Newton County most of her life. She was a wonderful cook, a talented seamstress and enjoyed making candles. She had a big heart and was full of laughter. Vera loved her family and the Lord.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her step-father, Harse Edgmon.
Vera is survived by her children, Jack Martin of Fallsville, Rick Martin and wife Yalonda of Deer and Susie Craft and husband Richard of Yokota, Japan; her first husband, Dwain "Nick" Martin of Fallsville; two brothers, Howard "Wayne" Roberts and wife Ruth of Cowell and Dale Edgmon of Swain; five sisters, Virginia Frizzell of Groveland, FL, Carol Smith and husband Guy of Conway, Jan Bartlett of Fayetteville, AR, Renee Roberts of Leavenworth, KS and Katona Roberts of Fayetteville, AR; eight grandchildren, Ryan Martin, Nicole Martin, Cody Martin, Jamie Lindsey, Dallas Harness, Jasa Harness, Kennedy Craft and Kaylee Craft; three great grandchildren, Rylea Martin, Oakley Martin and Chloe Lindsey and a host of nieces and nephews.
Graveside services are at 2:00 PM, Saturday, August 12, 2017 at Hickory Grove Cemetery in Nail with Pastor Bobby Young officiating. There is no visitation.
Pallbearers are Dallas Harness, Ryan Martin, Cody Martin, Richard Craft, Steven Lindsey and Benjamin Dodson. Honorary pallbearers are the staff of Newton County Nursing Home.
