He was born September 19, 1947 in Fisher, Arkansas to the late Homer & Elsie Sanders.
Mr. Sanders was a Vietnam Veteran serving in the United States Air Force.
He was an avid golfer and Arkansas Razorbacks fan and loved old movies and westerns.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Martha Brown.
Survivors include his wife of 21 years, Deborah Sanders; son, Scott (Brittany) Sanders of Atlanta; daughter, Susan (Michael) Hunter of Jacksonville, Florida; step-children, Brian Lawrence of Chattanooga, Kevin (Kim) Lawrence of Knoxville, Jeffrey (Danielle) Lawrence of Nashville, and Candice (Jeff) Carter of Chattanooga; sisters, Christine Ging of Fisher, Arkansas and Catherine Rice of Springdale, Arkansas; grandchildren, Owen & Collin Sanders, Brynn, Delaney Katherine, & Rowen Hunter, Cadence & Keegan Carter, and Jack Lawrence; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends for visitation at the East Brainerd Chapel of the Chattanooga Funeral Home on Monday, August 14, 2017 from 6-8 p.m.
Interment will be in the Chattanooga National Cemetery.
