Verna J. Cook, 84, of North Fort Myers, passed away Sunday, August 6, 2017. She was born June 5, 1933 in Alger, OH to Henry J. and Armelda (Cole) Stanley. She retired from Wilson Sporting Goods in Ohio following 19 years of service. She also retired from United Telephone Company after 23½ years of service. Following her retirement, she became a School Bus Attendant for Lee County Schools. This became her favorite job of all.
Verna is survived by her beloved family and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 PM Monday, August 14, 2017 in the chapel of Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home with burial to follow in Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Friends will be received from 11:00 AM Monday until the time of the service.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home.
