H. WALLACE SHIVELY, 78, a retired farmer, died suddenly of a heart attack Thursday evening in his home, 923 Lincoln Way East, Chambersburg.
A native of Fayetteville area he was the son of John and Susan (Lehman) Shively and a former trustee of the Fayetteville Evangelical United Brethren Church where he had been a life-long member.
Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Olive (Duffield) Shively; four sons, Joseph E., Waynesboro; Richard D., Fayetteville; James A., Chambersburg and Harry W., Jr., Williamsport; three daughters, Mrs. Wayne Cropper, Harrisburg; Mrs. Edwin H. Sponseller, Northampton, Mass., and Mrs. Dean S. Dunkle, Hummelstown; brothers, W. Bruce Shively, Fayetteville and James C. Shively, Falls Street, Virginia and a sister, Mrs. Abbie Brindle, Chambersburg R.D. 1.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Sellers Funeral Home, Chambersburg. The Rev. John Witmer will officiate, followed by interment in Cedar Grove Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home one hour before the service.
