Lila Wanda Mason, 85, of Richardson, Texas, passed away August 11, 2017. She was born October 17, 1931, in Glen Rose, Texas to Bryant Wilson McCarty and Clara Bell (Syer) McCarty. Wanda was a member of the First Baptist Church of Rowlett and had a passion for her family and her work as a Realtor. She was survived by her children, Gary Babbitt and wife Betty of Rowlett, Darrell Babbitt and wife Karen of Garland and Shirley Sadler and husband Charles of Dallas; sister, Opal Phillips of Euless; grandchildren, Glen Babbitt, Dennis Sadler, Lori Thompson, Beccy Sadler, Gregory Babbitt, Kim Mikeska and Shelby Babbitt; great-grandchildren, Megan Kerr, Ashlee Hilliard, Madison Sadler, Caitlin Thompson, Jacob Mikeska and Hailey Mikeska. Wanda was preceded in death by her parents; brother, James McCarty; and her sisters, Mary Bright, Barbara Luttrell and Bonnie Sneath. Services were held 10:00 a.m., Saturday, August 19, 2017, at First Baptist Church, Rowlett, with Pastor Cole Hedgecock officiating. Graveside services were held at 3:00 p.m. at Nancy Smith Cemetery in Glen Rose, Texas. Arrangements were through Rest Haven Funeral Homes, Rockwall, Texas.
