Roy J. Pennington, age 75, of Toledo, passed away peacefully Friday, December 7, 2012 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Toledo. He was born on September 5, 1937 to Pete and Georgia (Meador) Pennington in Pipestem, West Virginia. Roy was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving his country proudly during the Vietnam War. He worked in maintenance for many years before retiring. Roy enjoyed hunting and farming. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Tom Pennington; sister, Opal Meador; and stepbrother, Steve Pennington. Roy is survived by his son; daughter; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two stepsisters; three nephews; one niece; one great-nephew; and one great-niece.
