W. M. Scott, 78 years old, pioneer and prominent farmer, died at his home near Centertown Sunday afternoon. Funeral services were conducted Monday by Rev. J. T. Casey from the Bates Hill Presbyterian church. Interment was in Mt. View cemetery. Besides his widow, the deceased is survived by four daughters; Mrs. Robert Sparkman, this county; Mrs. Howard Masey, Nashville; Mrs. Amos Lance, Center town; and Mrs. John F. Blair, Viola; four sons; John, Grave Vine, Texas; Henry, Hastings, Okla.; Floyd, Indianapolis, Ind.; and Jesse, of Warren County.
