Age 37 years, was born September 25, 1979 in Conroe, Texas and peacefully passed to his Lord on August 10, 2017 in Conroe, Texas. He was preceded in death by grandparents Tem and Miriam Poland, William "Bill" Helm, Aunt Thursa Poland, cousin Tiffany Poland and Uncle Ricky Helm. Michael is survived by his mother, Pat (Poland) Haarhaus, father, Jim Poland and step- mother Pam Poland, brother Tommy Poland and wife Trisha Poland and nephew Elijah Poland and niece Molly Poland, brother Jimmy Poland and wife Amanda and step - nephew Braven and nephew C.J, niece Kayla Poland and great nephew Thomas James Poland, Uncle Charles Poland, Paul Defoor and aunt Laura Defoor, Uncle Tim Helm and grandmother Anna Bell Helm, Uncle Gary Effinger and aunt Cindy Effinger , numerous cousins and his faithful service basset hound, Forrest. A special thanks to staff of Conroe Regional Hospital, EMS, Dr. Edward Flores and Dr. Griffin, and Heart to Heart Hospice. Michael was a member of Mims Baptist Church and loved Mims' choir. He was a bold, faithful witness for Jesus as he traveled through this community and world. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends and the community. Michael loved Lions' Kid Fish program providing fishing for 'special needs' kids, attending The Houston Ballet and many local community events. Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 14 at Mims Baptist Church choir room at 11 am, with the viewing at 10 am and burial at New Bethlehem Cemetery in Cut-n-Shoot, Texas.
