He is preceded in death by his parents, Shasteen Amos Inklebarger, Sr. and Katie Stansberry Inklebarger; sister, Grace Inklebarger Eddings.
He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Joan Floyd Inklebarger; daughters, Bonnie Inklebarger Henson and husband John, Amy Inklebarger Ogden and husband Harry; son, Bob Inklebarger and wife Kim; five grandchildren, Emily Ogden, Stephen Ogden, Sarah Ogden, Michael and Brandy; six great-grandchildren, Ruth Ogden, Mary Ogden, Gabriel Ogden, Samuel Ogden, Grace Ann Ogden Gowan, and Cailynn; brother, Bill Inklebarger and wife Barbara; and many nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to thank the staff of Shannondale Health Care Facility and Amedisys Hospice for their excellent and compassionate care of Amos. They worked tirelessly to ensure that Amos had the best of care.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his honor to Fountain City Presbyterian Church Foundation Fund, 500 Hotel Road, Knoxville, TN 37918.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 3:00 in the Chapel at Berry Lynnhurst Funeral Home, 2300 Adair Drive in Knoxville on Sunday, August 13, 2017 followed by a funeral service. Graveside service will then take place in Lynnhurst Cemetery provided by the Honor Guard with full military honors. Arrangements provided by Berry Lynnhurst Funeral Home, 2300 Adair Dr.
